• The Best of 2012

    January 17th, 2013 | BY: | IN: Features

This is fairly late, but we decided to compile the most-viewed articles of 2012. These are all timeless pieces–including one joke video–that can offer up inspiration for any one at any time.

While our 2012 proved to be extremely successful, we’re excited to compete and make an even bigger splash in 2013.

1.) Carroll’s latest prank: Coach and T.O. punk his new teammates

Like they do for every new guy, the Seahawks thought they were pranking new teammate Terrell Owens during his first team meeting on Aug. 8. Instead, Coach Pete Carroll and T.O. flipped the script and punk’d the players and coaches in memorable fashion:

2.) Louis Zamperini on Jay Leno

Zamperini, the subject of Unbroken, has arguably the most incredible competitive story of any living person in the world. What he has gone through is remarkable.

    3.) Learn from Losing

WinForever Ambassador Brett Hughes advises you to learn to be fully awake in the moment; try to recall the smell of the field, what people were wearing, and all of your thoughts throughout the day. If you do this, he says, you control your thoughts and you become an even greater competitor and leader.

4.) A True Competitor: Jordan Meridith

Recently diagnosed with Lupus, WinForever’s Jordan Meridith competes every day. “If I let this obstacle define me, I’d be giving up basically my life,” Jordan told WinForever. “Giving into whatever is challenging you isn’t an option. You have to compete every single second of every single day to overcome whatever the challenge is.

5.) USC’s Matt Barkley: Lifelong competitor

We met with former USC quarterback Matt Barkley before the season. Even though his season didn’t go as planned, his words on competing are still as powerful as ever. “You always have to strive to do better than that rep before. You always have to compete against yourself, and in my position, to be the best not just on that field, but the best in the country.”
